*This design was made for me by the fabulous Echo Day. I got mine for free, but you can get yours for $15. (She sends you the jpg and you print yourself).
This is step one of the Festivus Season, whereby I get through the time from February to April by overdoing everything. Plans for St. Patrick’s Day coming soon …

Wow. I should do this… all of my christmas cards have been done, stamped and sitting on my bookcase. I wonder if I sent them out now would people think I was weird?!?! Beautiful cards, Liz!
My personal view is that you should send them. It’s a FESTIVUS MIRACLE!
Elizabeth, I LOVE the card. It’s beautiful. Cheryl, I just had to reply to your comment. Last year, I had a baby (our third) on December 12th. I had the Christmas cards ALMOST ready to go by mid-February and thought, “not so bad…new baby…understandable.” Then, I put them on my desk for safe-keeping and promptly forgot about them. I found them and sent them out in JULY with a brief note of explanation. I got so many wonderful letters, phone calls, and emails in reply. I got the cards out on time this year, and people were actually disappointed! Lesson learned: better late than never. MUCH better. Send ‘em!
Julie- This is a wonderful idea! I’ve always wanted to send out Easter cards, or something of the sort, because it is not Christmas or Valentine’s and no one really expects it. Now I’m going to make an extra effort to do so this year!
I always do stuff for the teachers on Valentine’s because at Christmas money and time are so tight. So this year we’re giving this as our Valentine, with little home made truffles.
Now, of course, I’ve revealed that to any of the teachers who read the blog. And if I don’t get it together for Velentine’s Day, either, everyone will know.
Oh! The blog!
Festivus for the rest of us!
Bring on the mylar glitter!
I have a stack of Christmas cards that I just finished getting ready… they are TOTALLY going in the mail today. This is not the first time it’s happened, and I have no children to blame it on: only grad school. Do it. People love it. You might get teased a bit… but you do hear from people and the important thing is loving and being loved no matter what time of year it is!
Good work! If they don’t appreciate it you weren’t going to please them anyway.
p.s.
I’ve been staring at the photo for a while… WHERE is Mare’s other leg???
Next to the other one, silly!
I see. The swirl of the skirt made me wonder if there was a leg lift involved, and I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. lol
The pictures are beautiful. It’s neat how each girl has something special captured. Mare’s gracefulness, Ren’s toughness, and Eden’s… well, her cute babyness. I’m sure she’ll have something in a few years to make her stand out, too, knowing your family!
I love the cards. Awesome!
Eden is just Schmoopily!
OMG! I love Ren’s pink cheeks! Adorable!
Ha. My in-laws don’t even pretend anymore and send out Groundhog’s Day cards
Beautiful card…
You’ve got me beat! I didn’t get the Christmas cards out this year so I threatened to send New Year’s cards. New Year’s is too close to Little Man’s birthday so I forgot yet again. Decided to create the tradition of MLK Day cards. That slipped by me so I gave up.
