Just today I was out with Jonah and he was going gaga over all the Halloween decorations out there in the world, and I was thinking about you and the mylar and I just had this sinking feeling.

That would be a big change for me if I actually went all “damomma-style” on the holiday in my house this year, but we already have two pumpkins, so maybe if I score a bunch of spiders and skeletons on sale…

You totally do, Tzipporah. Purim looks like so much fun. We get Easter but we have to drag ourselves through Lent first.

I do think Marley’s family should take my kids on for Purim. I don’t think they do Purim, but they should start, now.

Wow, when I was a kid (in and Irish household) all the leprechauns did the night before bwas drink all the beer.

One year, when I was about 7 years old, my sister and I spent the night before St. Patrick’s day at my grandma’s house. The big day was also a school day, so my grandma packed our lunch pails. Imagine my surprise when I opened my lunch later to find the following: A green deviled egg sandwich, green 7-up (SODA in my lunch??? My Mom would never allow that!!!), green jello, etc. I was thrilled. My Nannie is now 92, going on 93, and just as fabulous and extravagant as ever!

You totally rock!! I agree with Catizhere…we celebrate with Lucky Charms at our house, and maybe shepherd’s pie. Also, a Happy St Patty’s Day trip to the dentist! Woo Hoo!!!
