Thank you

Cute Husband and I have been reading your comments all day and enjoying them. We’ll put them in the baby book and be sure Little One sees them some day.

We are both tickled to be the parents of three magical little women.

For those not following the Twitter — yes, the pink or blue test was accurate. They were very confident in the result and they were right. It was a worthwhile experience, fun to know so very early, and it gave us lots of time for a focused discussion of names.

Not that we’re going to tell you what we’ve talked about.

    At all

    Seriously

You really think I would do that?

    Me?

    Of ALL people?

We had a lot of fun thinking of the worst possible names we could to *not* call our baby. Top of the list for a girl was Ermintrude. (For a boy, we had Cdwallader Parsnip)

That was a lot of fun, and was a naming discussion *everyone* could join in :-)

Just read your news and wanted to say Congratulations to all four of you! I have 3 girls myself and it’s been a lot of fun! I’m so excited for Mary and Roodle!

  6. Jennboree Says:

    I like Gillian’s idea. A lot less stressful! :)

  7. Ei Says:

Ah…what was Renny’s name from Mary? Cardamom Tunafish? Any chance you are entertaining that one again?

Congrats! I don’t have to tell you this, but Elizabeth is a WONDERFUL name. Not only because it is your name, but because it is my middle name. But maybe one of the other girls’ already has Elizabeth as a middle name and this post is pointless? If not, give L.O. Elizabeth for a middle name!

When my SIL was still in utero my BIL offered these two names: Corn for a boy, Bean for a girl. Yes, they grew up on the farm. No, they didn’t name her Bean. They named her Mary. :) And she was supposed to be a boy and my husband was supposed to get his own room when the baby came but then she came out a girl and he didn’t get his own room and he’s been pissed ever since!

Regardless, best of luck. I hope you have a healthy, happy pregancy. I am SO glad to not be preggo anymore!

    Congratulations!!!

I am the oldest of four girls and there is something very special about growing up in a family of all girls…we are all very close to this day, as I know your little ones will be. Your blog is my favorite of them all and I look forward to many more years (hopefully).

    Best wishes!!

We are in the same boat my friend…you get three girls, I get three boys! I finally cracked and looked in the envelope given to my H by the us tech…the us pic with an arrow pointing to the “boy bits”. I was afraid I would be disappointed to find “boy bits” in that envelope, but I was excited. I am going to have three boys…cuddley, smoochy, mini H’s all for me. Legos and matchbox cars galore! Too fun…I have a special appreciation for the parent that is outnumbered by the sex of children in the house. I will never buy frilly dresses or baby dolls, your cute H will be forever be stepping over veils and sparkly shoes. Congrats to the both of you on all three(well soon) of your brillant and beautiful daughters!

    Enjoy the journey: )

Congratulations and well done on the trio of girlies. I knew in advance that I was having a girl and I loved it. Made life very simple. Oh, and as one of three girls as well I know how great it is to have sisters.

I’m late responding, I hate that I missed when it was announced! Congrats on girl #3! I was busy fending off family members - the ones who insist that we must discuss names about our 3rd boy. I’m with you on the not telling. We’ve decided that even IF we choose a name before he makes his grand appearance (or the few days after…) we’re not telling. We sorta had an inkling on Aaric’s name, but weren’t committed to it until he was born. We were still totally clueless on Xander’s until he was around 18 hours old. So why do people expect me to name this kid while still in the mid-3rd trimester? It’s madness.
You’ll have to tell me one day if 3 girls is as scary as 3 boys. I have a feeling I need to get into better shape. Girls are high drama, but boys run fast.
